The building is designed in one of the new development areas of Vienna. It will be used by 850 students between the ages of 10 and 18. According to the educational concept the smaller children will be organised in clusters. Here the central part is the town square, which is the core of the community. The older students don't have classrooms, a homebase (a multifunctional study leisure place) will provide their home.

The building faces an important green axis of the area and opns up like a clam, whre it creates importants transitionary places.
